AOA Indicator

Guess you can tell I'm rereading the USER'S GUIDE.

Page 4-19 says "During normal flight the AOA indicator will display GREEN".

Whenever I look at the AOA indicator in cruise it is blank - transparent. I don't recall looking at it at other speeds.

If that's abnormal what's a possible cause?

TIA,

That question's above my pay grade Jake.

No, I didn't calibrate the SKYVIEW. The ADHARS was found to be TU and replaced under warranty (parts) the day after I bought the plane.  :(

It was replaced by the local avionics shop having no DYNON experience but with DYNON phone support.

I take it from your question that it IS ABNORMAL not to see green in the AOA indicator in cruise.

No green means the AoA thinks you are maximum angle of attack all the time. As Jake says, this is most likely caused by the AoA not being calibrated, which must be done in flight by a series of stalls.

Sounds like the solution is within my pay grade. So few things are.

I'll go to the online Install Manual and see what I can learn.

Thanks for the assist.
