AP Disconnect Button with Optional Resistor and Trimamp

In Figure 138 of the AM version of the install manual, there is an optional resistor you can install between the incoming yellow wires from the servos and the ground for the switch. This will tell the system if there is a break in the circuitry. If you also install the Trimamp (I need it for my trim motor), the ground wire from the button goes to pin 6 on the Trimamp, per figure 226, instead of ground. The only thing is the Trimamp instructions don't mention the optional resistor. So my question is, should I still install the resistor between the switch connections, even though the switch is "grounding" to the Trimamp?

Thanks,
Greg

Yes. The resistor only detects a break in the disconnect switch circuitry. It goes back to the Skyview. The trimamp only connects to the trim servos, so it is not in that same circuit path.

Just to be clear, the "Trim - Interrupt" on pin 2 or 6 of the Trimamp does not go to the disconnect switch. It goes to the Skyview.

Yeah, that really should be in the install manual.
