I have installed the AP74 and HS34 on my RV6A. Wiring harness fabricated by SteinAir for my particular installation. I have a Garmin 250XL and a Garmin 496 connected to the HS34.
Both Units appears to be feeding the HS34 simultaneously and obviously confusing the AP74 regardless of the NAV source selected (1 or 2). Is there something internal to the HS34 that would allow this to happen?
On a separate note, I seem to have the ALT hold sensitivity adjusted to where it maintains altitude without oscillating. However, maintaining directional control in any mode is either too jittery or sluggish. The nose tends to wonder or jerk to maintain heading. Maybe it is confused by the dual feed problem above?
One final question, it seems as though the auto pilot wants to intercept a selected course at 90 degree angle and max bank angle even if the course selected is 10-15 degrees off heading. Is this normal?
