Can someone please help me hook my GX60 to my Skyview. Is it just the Tx and Rx wires to the serial port
of the skyview? I tried several shops and no help.

Thanks much :(

What kind of features and functions are you trying to use it for?

The simplest connection is just the serial TX out of the GX60 into one of the serial RX ports on SkyView.

However, the GX60 doesn't output all the data we need and thus cannot be used as the only GPS connected to your SkyView.

I have a GX60 connected to my SkyView.  I also have a Garmin 696 and the SkyView GPS.  It will display the course on the SkyView HSI, and give lateral approach guidance on the SkyView HSI.  Let me know if you need help with the configuration and I can look up how I did it.
Thanks

The GX60 is a IFR *non-precision* GPS and a COM in one.

So do you want it for:

1) The only GPS connected to SkyView?
2) For approach guidance or only enroute
3) To use any of the COM functions
4) For vertical navigation
5) For an enroute HSI

Just trying to define the mission so we can tell Charles if it is possible to do what he wants with the GX60 and SkyView combo.
