ARINC 429 module problem

I recently sent in a ARINC 429 module for warantee repair. It was replaced with a different unit. The original problem was that the unit sometimes would not handshake with either the GTN 750 or the skyview. the new unit fixed the problem.
On a recent flight I noticed that the localizer/vor needle never appears. the OBS arrow is there, the GS is active, and there, the VOR/ILS needle is present on the screen on the GTN 750
but no green left right needle on the Skyview. On the GPS, I get the magenda needle, no problem. There is definitely a signal being received by the GTN , and skyview displays the localizer frequemncy etc. Just no course deviation needle.

This worked fine before the arinc 429 swap. no settings have been changed. ???? :-/

Really doubt it's a hardware problem. A few thoughts:

Are the ARINC send lines from the ARINC module to the GTN ok? I'm not sure what you'd see if we're not able to get the OBS setting out to the GTN. Do you see evidence that any information is getting through to the GTN (we send it other things like TAS and OAT). One way to test the outbound connection: When looking at the GPS side of the GTN with SkyView, make sure the GPS needle is there, and then put the GTN in sequencing suspended mode with it's OBS button. Then your SkyView course knob should spin the GPS course on the GTN. Does it?

Why would it be an outbound line?
Skyview is painting the obs needle, but not the left right green localizer needle. It does paint the left right magenta GPS needle. I will fly it again today. Maybe you miss understood my description of the mal function. This is not a new wiring installation. I will reseat the cables into the 429 module before I fly.

Does a VOR work as a bearing pointer? That will be helpful to know.

as a matter of fact, the yellow bearing VOR pointer did not work. I had forgotten about that, as I do not use that function much.

OK problem solved !

The plug from the GTN was only partially seated into the ARINC 429. one pin on the end was not making contact apparently. Everything is now fully functional.
Thank You for your attn to this, in either case. ::)
