Audible "Approaching Waypoint" alert with External GPS?

I have an Avidyne IFD540. I would like to take advantage of the audible "approaching waypoint" alert but I believe the HDX only issues this alert when approaching waypoints on the Skyview flight plan. Not sure if the Skyview flight plan must be active or not.

1. Is there a way that the HDX can issue the audible alert when the external (IFD40) flight plan is active and I am approaching a waypoint?
2. OR is there a way to copy the External flight plan into the Skyview flight plan --obviously must be able to do this on the fly as routing changes happen.

1) There isn't, although I think that the Avidyne has a similar audible annunciation if you have it hooked up to audio
2) Though there isn't a copy feature, you can have SkyView display the Avidyne's flight plan on both the flight plan page and on the map. But SkyView will only annunciate for its own self-generate flight plans (I believe this is so that it doesn't collide with audible annunciations that may exist on other devices)

Thanks for the reply! The Avidyne unfortunately has no option for an aural alert when approaching a waypoint that I am able to find. It DOES give an aural alert for the TOP OF DESCENT if the FMS has a programmed crossing altitude input or as part of a published procedure.

I am aware that the Skyview can display the external flight plan on the map and on the FPL view and on the CDI. That's how I use it. Was just really hoping for an audible alert when approaching a waypoint. You know like WAKE UP WE GONNA TURN HERE! or just a ding or something. :) Any chance this could make it into a release (for certified)?? If it defaults to OFF and is selectable then it wouldn't interfere with anything from other devices...which currently for me it doesn't since the IFD doesn't do it.
