Audio Alert Output

I am installing a D100,D120,HS34 and AP74 and plan on using the audio from the HS34 through a Gretz Aero audio mixer. My question is, do I still need to use the 10K variable resistor or does the gretz mixer have enough range to balance the audio outputs?

It's basically there for attenuation. Our guess is you'll be OK, but you'll want to fire that question in Gretz's direction as well.
