Under "Audio Alerts" in the Users Manual it states: When connected to an audio panel or intercom, SkyView can generate tones or voice alerts for various conditions. My question - I have a single seat aircraft (RV3), no audio panel, no intercom - can I still get audio alerts in my headset?

I am a "Newbie" to this discussion - be gentle.

Thank you - HFS

Depends on the radio you have. Most radios these days allow a music or audio input and you could connect to that. I had an xcom radio that allowed it and it worked fine.

You could also use a small audio mixer to combine your radio, Dynon audio and any other audio device (music player?) - such as this:

If you need a mixer that allows you to adjust and balance all incoming audio levels, they also carry this:

You don’t need a mixer. Put a 300 ohm resistor on the Comm output and connect the l&r audio from the SkyView to the other side of the resistor. Your headset will also connect to this point.
