I recently sent my Skyview in for the audio fix and got it back with all the feature licenses missing. :-[
They obviously get extracted along with the audio problem - just kidding. I was able to find the emails with the licenses and reloaded them. I also had to reload the Jeppesen database from a copy I had. So just a word of caution. It nice to see those extra features load up, but after the initial exhilaration fades save those license codes. The rest of the data (screen layouts, terrain models, etc.) seemed to be intact.
So after that introductory rhetoric, has anyone connected their Skyview to the PM1200? and is there the same background noise as the GPS495?
As another solution; I have the iCOM A210. It has audio connections. Can I bypass the PM1200 and connect Skyview directly to the iCOM?
