Auto pilot heading hold

I have a RV12 with the dynon auto pilot.  The dynon has been upgraded to 5.4 and in general the auto pilot works better.  I have 65 hours on it.  Today the conditions were light to moderate turbulence and I thought the autopilot didn't seem to hold a heading very well.  It seemed to very from side to side about 5 degrees or so.  Do you have a suggestion for a setting to correct this?  Thanks!

Does using TRK mode improve things? If so, the magnetic heading calibration or remote magnetometer location might not be ideal.

Also, try using the alternate bank angle control mode by setting turn rate to 0, and then setting the bank angle limit to something reasonable. That improves performance for many people. Finally, you might check with Vans to see what their RV12 AP settings recommendations are.
