Ok, to start off, the AP is great but .. I have went thru the inflight procedures and I'm still having an issue with the capturing of altitude. The AP will blow thru the selected altitude by maybe 60 feet and then keep "oscillating" +- 40-60 feet on either side of the selected ALT. sometimes VSI up and down by up to 400fpm. Smooth air is better but not perfect. I have tried different values in the pitch settings including the VANS RV-12 presets. No play or slack in the control system. Looking for some input for data points on what pitch values seem to work best.

You need to state what type A/C you have, then those with similar types can help.  My Lancair is probably quite different from an RV, for example.

RV-12, hence the RV-12 preset note in the original post. But, since your a lancair guy, you prob read at 200 kts too. Lol. Kidding :) :D

Here's what I use on my -12. Not perfect but seems to work pretty well:
Roll: Torque 100%, Sensitivity 5
Pitch: Torque 100%, Sensitivity 10, Pitch Gain 3.0, Alt Gain 1.5, Pull rate 1.5, VSI gain 1.5, G Error Gain 1.0, G Error Limit 0.25

You'll still need to experiment but I hope that helps.

Thanks Tom! I'll compare to my settings and what's what.
