Autopilot status annunciator

I've searched through the installation manual and haven't found a way to do this, but maybe I've missed something...

Is there a way to get an external signal that indicates whether or not the autopilot is engaged? I have a lighted autopilot disengage button, and ideally I'd like it to illuminate only if the autopilot is active.

The autopilot status is continuously displayed at the top of the PFD and your flight directors change appearance as well. This is shown in the Users Guide.
