I may have missed this discussion, so I appologize in advance.

I am preparing to run the wiring for the servos and need to know where to get the wire. It appears I need one twisted pair with 3 other wires. Most servo wire is 6 or 7 twisted wires.

What do I need to purchase and where can I get it?

Thanks,
Don J.

We actually now have servo harness kits available for purchase. See http://blog.dynonavionics.com/2010/05/skyview-20-update-and-skyview-servo.html for details.

The only problem I see is that harness is offered for the SkyView and I have a D100.

Thanks,

You could technically still use the harness and only use a single pair of DSAB wires and then splice at the D100 end (like you normally would). You may consider that overkill, so also know that Aircraft Spruce carries aircraft-grade tefzel wire at http://www.aircraftspruce.com/menus/el/wire.html. I think http://www.steinair.com/ also will build you a custom harness.

Thanks,

I was wondering about the twisted 7 wire servo cable offered by SteinAir.  Is it OK for all 7 wires to be twisted together or do the DSAB wires need to be seperate from the other wires and twisted together?

Thanks again,
Don

So if the data pairs are twisted individually, and then everything is twisted together, that's fine. But, if everything is just spiraled together, we like that less. The latter would probably work, but at the run length of the servos, the former is better. If you had SkyView Network issues with the latter method the wiring is the first thing we'd want you to look at.

If I have to I'll take the data pair out of the group and twist them separately.

Thanks,
