All,

About to depart for Oshkosh on Saturday and went to load the latest aviation database. Yesterday I grabbed the "next cycle" version that starts on July 25th and put it on the root directory of a thumb drive. When I go to load it on the panels, the system sees the file, asks if I'm sure I want to load it, but when I push the button to start the load, it takes a fraction of a second and says Done. I look at the installed database and it is still the old one.

Not sure what I'm doing wrong here...

Just double-checked it here and it works. I wonder if your file on the stick is corrupt? It should be 8737kb (or so). Which version of SkyView are you running? What's the file name you're trying to load?

The file name is FAA_av1408_ob1404_10.1.duc and is 8737K.

I have the US 10.1 package from May.

I re-downloaded the file onto two additional (different) thumb drives and will see if I can get to the airport later this morning for another try.

Worst case scenario I'll Accept the out of date files on the Skyview for my trip as I have a borrowed iPad and Foreflight combo for charts and airport info...

I have no idea why the latest database took close to 30 minutes to synch displays, and I have had the same issue since 10.0 upgrade. I usually see it synch before I even get to the runway. I ended up flying and was 30 minutes into a flight before the synch completed.
Is this a sign of a problem between my screens?
thanks!

We definitely have some investigation to do here. In the meantime, disconnecting the Ethernet connection and load each display isn't a perfect solution, but it will get rid of the sync time issue.

No problem. let me know if there is anything I can provide. Seems like I am the only one with this issue, as no one else appears to have this problem.
Thank you!

I must have the same problem. I loaded the new database a couple of minutes later it hadn't transferred so I stuck the usb in the second screen and loaded it that way. All seems ok. I figured i forgot to plug in the ethernet cable and i would check later.
