My Van's RV-12 is equipped with dual HDX displays. The pilot-side HDX is equipped with a backup battery. But the co-pilot side HDX does not have a backup battery, and (so far as I know) never has had a backup battery. Nevertheless, the co-pilot side HDX displays a yellow Caution label above button 8, and a "B/U Batt Unavail" and "B/U Batt Test Needed" alert. I tried to turn these off by going into the Setup Menu (on the co-pilot HDX) and then selecting Local Display Setup > Backup Battery (SV-BAT 320) > Battery Connected/Detected, which I tried to change to No. But that didn't work. In an old thread, Dynon Support responded to a somewhat different question by telling the OP to go into Setup to indicate that no backup battery was attached. But Dynon Support didn't spell out how to do that. Either I did it wrong, or there's a different method for doing so than the one I used. How, exactly, do I indicate that there is no backup battery attached to my co-pilot HDX?
