My Skyview backup battery is fully charged and works just fine when I check its operation. But I don't want to do a full 60 minutes battery load test - at least for now. How can I delete the "battery test required" message without waiting for 60 minutes. Yes, I know, this is probably the most picky minuscule "problem" you have ever been asked. Hope the answer is as simple. Thanks.

Well checking the operation for a minute or or few is not a substitute for doing the full rundown test. Since the battery is there for the rare times when other things have gone really wrong, we really think you should do the full rundown test and STRONGLY recommend that you do it as part of your installation and every annual condition inspection. All of that said, if you want to bypass it, it's possible. Send an email to support at dynonavionics dot com and we can help you further here.

Earlier versions SkyView software did not have the automated battery test capability, thus for the rundown test you had to watch it. In v6.0, we added an automated battery test, which is much more convenient:
1. Turn off ship's power.
2. 3 buttons appear at the bottom of the SkyView - STAY ON, POWER OFF, and TEST BAT. Push TEST BAT.
3. The test will run, unattended, and shut off the SkyView display after the test is complete. (You DON'T have to wait.)
4. If the test was successful, it will remove the indicator and the message.
5. You'll be prompted to repeat the test in another year.
