Battery test failure

I've tried to perform the backup battery test several times, but each time at startup it is showing about 10.5 volts. Last time was right after a 2 hour flight. I'm assuming the battery is NG? Any other things to try?

The battery needs 12.25V or more to charge. It also takes four hours for a full charge. I'd check first if the alternator is producing more than 12.25V. The backup battery shouldn't discharge much between flights so several flights should fully charge it.

You also can connect a battery charger to your aircraft battery and charge the battery overnight with the master switch and Skyview on. The battery status screen will show if the battery is charging. I had to turn the charger up to 6A for the backup battery to continuously charge. Skyview draws ~3A so 4A wasn't enough.

Mine does the same thing when tested. Initial status shows 10.5 volts when the test is begun even though I had just prior verified that the backup battery status showed "charged".

There is a significant drop in battery voltage when it goes from being charged to being used. The very fact that it goes from 12.0V when charged to 10.5 when under load does not mean it is bad. What matters is how long it will run the SkyView system for.
