How useful would a built in timer be? Make it available thru an (Able / Disable menu). Just a thought, and something that could be a softwear update. Be great to get the kitchen timer off my panel.

There are a number of timers (starting pp 5-4 of User Manual). Two (Engine Trip and Flight Trip) can be cleared at any time. There is no count down timer or alarm both of which would be handy. If your looking for fuel timers there are a number of those also. They all can be displayed on the ENG PAGE. I use the FLT TIME and LITRES USED plus NM/LITRE. Both the FLT TIME and LITRES USED reset for each flight.

Sorry.  Should have been more clear.  I would love to have a timer for IFR turns & holding patterns.  One button, a simple Start/Stop and another clear button next to it. Heck, I'd be happy with one button that had a 3-way function (Start/Stop/Clear). You could have it available on mutiple screens. Soulds like an easy 3.3 update to me. ;D

I agree, it would be nice to have the timer for approaches. I would like to be able to set a count down timer so I know when to go missed...

along with that, I'd like to see the ability to set a altitude for the approach as well so I don't go below the minimum.

If you have the Dynon autopilot, you can set the altitude bug to the MDA and use the VSI bug to regulate the descent rate. Then you can't bust the altitude.
