C172 ALT / Autopilot issues

I have a C172 with Dynon HDX SkyView w/ Autopilot. Have been having continuous issues with ALT hold. I will have the aircraft perfectly trimmed out for straight and level flight at a cruise power setting. Once I engage the auto pilot and Altitude hold if any conditions other than
completely smooth air I will get a "Trim Nose Down" message followed shortly by a "Pitch Slip" message. Autopilot will aggressively pitch and slow the aircraft by 20 KTS or more while only chasing 20 - 30 ft of altitude. Any ideas on a fix?

the same thing happened to me.
the equipment is a skyview classic with the autopilot control panel.
before the installation of the A.P control panel it had never occurred.
I don't know if after update 15.4.7
I'm also looking for a solution and a reason for this "crazy bull".

I cannot be sure that you are having the same bug, but I worked with Dynon for a while solving this pitch down problem for quite a while. It was near impossible to replicate on the bench and it was very rare in flight. They eventually managed to find a bug. It was solved easily and I have been testing it ever since in BETA TEST.

The next release will solve it.

I can only assume you are suffering the same bug.

That would be great news. It is very frequent issue with mine. Literally any ride other than completely smooth I get it.
