Can 101693-000 Be Used For Fuel

I need a fuel pressure sender because my fuel pressure occasionally goes above 80 PSI and I do not want to see the red X.

Can the 101693-000 be used for fuel? The lower pressure senders advertise Fuel Injection /Coolant/Fluid pressure but the 101693-000 only advertises Oil pressure

Yes, all of the fluid pressure sensors are the same other than their pressure reading levels. IE, they can all be used interchangeably in fuel or oil.

I don't understand what you mean...the last sentence stated "The lower pressure senders advertise Fuel Injection /Coolant/Fluid pressure but the 101693-000 only advertises Oil pressure"

This meant that all of the other Kavlico senders sold/ recommended by Dynon advertise that they are designed to be used for Fuel Injection /Coolant/ and other Fluid pressure applications however the 101693-000 150 PSI sender only advertises Oil pressure. Since it did not list "fuel" as an application then perhaps that implied that the material used in this unit was not impervious to fuel and if not then it would be dangerous to use as a fuel pressure sensor.

THANKS Dynon for your response. As a suggestion, perhaps you can change your literature to include fuel, coolant as other possible applications for this unit.

Actually, the product description says "Oil/Fluid Pressure Sender", but as you stated, it does not specifically state fuel as the other pressure sensors do, so it was a reasonable question.

Sorry to labour the point however as above why would Fuel injection not include fuel pressure &, more specifically, Fluid pressure not include all the normal engine fluid pressures?

Ironically, we've tried to name them to reduce confusion - IE, so that people don't routinely buy 150 psi sensors when they really only need a few dozen PSI of sensitivity (I realize that the original poster's situation is slightly different).

Something is not right. I don't think I have ever seen above 40 psi on the stock Lycoming mechanical fuel pump for fuel injection. Ditto for any electric boost pump. Seems like you may have a blockage or restriction somewhere in the system downstream of the mechanical pump, or the pressure bypass on the mechanical pump isn't functioning correctly. Normal pressure is going to be between 25-30 psi.

The OP didn't say but he might have EFII, which runs at much higher pressures than the typical FI (e.g. Bendix).

My EFII fuel regulator is set for 35lbs. 80lbs does sound a tad high.
