Can't read the sandisk storage card with skyview charts

I've installed the latest software update. Both units (HDX1100 & HDX800) turn on like normal. When I tell them download the chart data, it tells me "Can't read the card". This happens on both units. Found 2 extra usb cards, downloaded the chart data. When I tell the HDX's to download, get the same message. These units have run flawlessly for the last 3 years with no issues.

I recently have problems while updating my charts on my SkyView HDX system with Seattle Avionics. SkyView's displays an error when I try to load the November 2025 data. It says that it can't read the USB drive, however, prior updates still load correctly. There seems to be an error with the recent file I got from ChartData. I'm almost certain the updated data is not only 7 KB when all prior updates have been over 8,000 KB (see the attached screen shot).

I've read the posts about Seattle Avionics going out of business. My issues only began with the November 2025 update.

Is anyone...
 
I complained to Seattle Aviionics and they claimed that Dynon sent them a bad URL. They gave me two URLs to use and I tried one and it worked to download. I have not yet loaded into my HDX so I can't say if it is successful or not. I do know the file size looks right, unlike the 7kb file sizes I was seeing with the bad files.

The charts from Dynon are the aviation/obstacle databases. The charts from SA are the geo-referenced charts and airport diagrams. They aren't the same thing. The OP isn't really clear as to what he's trying to read.

If this is the aviation/obstacle database, I would check the license information in SETUP MENU > LOCAL DISPLAY SETUP > LICENSE.

I'd also confirm the chart files are in the root folder of the USB drive. There have been issues in the past where they were put in a subfolder, and that won't work.
 
SA does get the Av/Ob database from Dynon for the upload onto the disk as well - and it has happened before that something in the SA transfer scrambles that file and I've had to go pull it direct from Dynon.

This sort of thing means, of course, that SA is not even doing rudimentary data verification on incoming data from Dynon. What a joke.

I doubt they ever have - they certainly are not now that the software is orphaned. I have a lifetime membership, but I'm expecting that to get cut off pretty much any day now.
