Certified Capacitance fuel level sender

I have the SkyView HDX system with SV-EMS-220. I know the system will allow for the use of capacitance senders, but I am having issues finding good info on certified senders.

Does anyone within the BrainTrust know of any certified units that jive with the SV-EMS-220?

Thank you,

Brad

Electronics International makes the same tech senders as CIES for less than half the price. They're certified for use with their engine monitors, but we got them field approved with a JPI on a Cardinal, and getting that done with a Skyview should be doable.

The main thing to know is that SkyView can take a voltage or a resistance input, but NOT a frequency for fuel level (which some of the EIs output, I think )

CIES so called digital fuel senders are resistive or variable voltage THEY ARE NOT DIGITAL Dynon does not support digital. This question hurts my head every couple months when I hear it. Speak to someone with electronics training or Don at Dynon. CIES will work but so will any other variable voltage/resistance units.
There is a digital blue wire on CIES for testing it. Not for Dynon

FWIW re Frequency type sensors eg Vision Microsystems (eg VMS EPI 800,1000) - there is a frequency to voltage converter that works with the Dynon available from Red Avionics - 1 have used them on 3 different aircraft & they work.

Are they that noticeably
more accurate? Price ?
I like better just don't like paying extra for same results

If you had the VMS type fuel level sensors then, unless you replace the sensors, you have no choice re buying the converters from Red Avionics (you could 'roll your own' if you had the knowledge) as they are an 'off the shelf' item.
Accuracy - yes there are accurate & stable unlike many float resistor types - Personally I trust my calibrated fuel flow computer system above fuel gauges in flight & my eyeball & dipstick when on the ground. YMMV ;)
