Charging my backup battery while building has been a real pain and a hassle.  Maybe it is because my battery, or whatever allows it to charge, is messed up, I am not sure..
I just finished a 2 1/2 hour burn with the battery charger at 15 volts, in that time the battery came from 8.67 all the way up to 8.94.  The manual says it takes 4 hours to charge as I recall, but at this rate it will never make it.  I have to get it to full charge I understand in order to run the test.
Do these figures seem to agree with with others  have found in trying to charge the battery?
Here is a screen shot, and I don't know what those words are telling me, cannot find that in the book.

You may have 15V but maybe not enough AMPS. Skyview takes about 3A to run and your main battery is probably taking some. So if you're trickle charging at 4A it may not be enough. I switched my charger to 6A and left it overnight. That did the trick. Here is a screenshot showing Skyview drawing 3.1A and the main battery 5.3A from the alternator.

I should have included, I have moved up three times, this is with a 35 amp charger turn up as high as it will go. I THINK that the -4 amp reading is saying that is what the radio and Skyview is using.

The battery should be coming up higher than that (and pretty quickly). To check one more thing, go to DISPLAY HARDWARE INFORMATION and look at the VOLTAGE line and the CHARGE STATUS lines (voltage is above BATTERY STATUS) when you have your external charger connected. What are you seeing on that line? If it's above 12.25, and the battery isn't coming up, it needs to be replaced.

There's something up with that battery. Give our tech support a call at 425-402-0433 or support at dynonavionics dot com.
