Checklist Creation

So,

last night I was tapping away on my Dynon support program, producing checklists. After doing 4 or 5, I clicked update and turned on my D10A. The support program then had a brain fart and defaulted all of my newly entered checklists to the Dynon defaults. Has anyone else seen this? Should I have selected "update" after doing each individual checklist?

Thanks.

Sorry about that. I know it's frustrating to work on something and have your work get lost.

You ran into a known bug in the currently released Support Program. (If the Support Program has an error while uploading checklists, the changes get lost.) I have fixed the problem, and the fix will be included in the next release of the Support Program. In the meantime, you should probably upload your checklists more often, or save them in another program.

By the way, the Support Program should not have errors while doing uploads. If you are seeing errors during uploads, you should check the integrity of your physical connection between the PC and the instrument.

DS,

no problems with the data as loaded. Used the program again with more frequent selection of "update" and all worked just fine.

Thanks

Just installed new D10A in our RV-4.  Super simple installation, particularly with Bill Bainbridge's kit from B&C.  Only comment is to print out the very latest Installation Instructions from this web site.  There had been many software improvements since our enclosed paper copy was printed.  Study and use the new instructions and the forum topics.  It'll save much time on compass cal etc.  I guess it shows that Dynon is constantly upgrading the product software----printed matter can't keep up.  Unit works GREAT.
Will add checklists soon.  Thanks Dynon

I am looking forward for the software upgrade, which enables the edition of cheklists off-line - just reading and writing to the seetings file on my PC. It's much frustrating to edit 25 screens of data while seeting at the cockpit...
The "checklist" screens might be the convenient and up-to-date information tool for the pilot, but only if it can be easy modified and/or added on PC and then just sent to D10A with pressing only one button!
Dynon - do it soon please... :)

We've just updated the web site with the latest version of the support program (version 2.3.0).

Offline checklists editing is back! Enjoy!
