Clock 12 hours off

I have a D-120 newly installed and working thru the bugs. I connected a Garmin Aera to the D-120 and I think it is working correctly from the Dynon display, ie, I am getting a miles per gal readout, flight time remaining, etc. Also when I try to set-up the clock I get a format option but no buttons to set the time (which means the unit is getting time from the GPS). However, the Dynon time is 12 hours off. The Dynon time (e.g. 7:48:34 ) matches the Area but the Dynon reads pm while the Area reads am. Any ideas on how to make the Dynon sync with the Garmin?

When you say "Dynon time", do you mean local or zulu? The zulu should be correct if the GPS has a lock. Is it?

The local offset is adjustable for different time zones in the setup menu.

Well, I went out to the airport today and ran through all the setup menus for the clock and tried various changes.. Not sure what I did, if anything, but the local and Zulu time on the Dynon now agrees with the Garmin . Still scraching my head why there was a problem but it appears fixed. Who am I to argue with serendipity!

Thanks for your reply; it started me poking around which led to the solution (whatever it was).

As a generalisation I suggest playing around with the unit, but always read screen messages/info, is what I encourage others to do as you will learn and associate more than by reading manuals. :)
