Com 1 vs Com 2

While planning for installation of the Skyview system with an Avidyne 440 the discussion came to which radio should get the belly antenna and be the Com 1 radio. Two AP's both said it should be the Avidyne. It would seem to me that because of easier tuning and bigger screen area that I would want to use the Skyview radio as primary. Any thoughts or suggestions as to why one would be superior to the other?

It is totally your decision on which radio is Com1 vs Com2. I tend to agree that the easy tuning of the SV radio would be a good candidate as 1 but it really doesn't matter. If you have an audio panel (non-Dynon), it's a simple button push to select which radio you want to use.
