COM status INOP for 8.33 frequencies

I have a dual classic Dynon screen configuration running the 15.3.3 software. My radio is a Trig TY91. Whenever I select a 8.33 frequency, the COM status will go INOP by red-X. Reselecting a .25 freq will simply restore the COM bar.
Anyone else has seen this issue?

Hmm - there might be a bug there. Is the appropriate serial port set to the Trig radio?

I have a correct readout for all the .25 frequencies. The red-X only appears for 8.33 frequencies. So the serial port is not the issue.

I have had several different 8.33 Trig radios on my test rig lately and haven't had this issue.  I will take a look again and see what I can find. Give me a call 425-402-0433 so we can work on this issue

So it turns out that the radio actually doesn't output anything when it's on an 8.33 channel, which is a limitation of the legacy protocol that it streams. We're reaching out to Trig to see if there is a workaround or any way that we can improve this experience.

Update: After some back and forth with Trig, we discovered they already have a fix for this issue. If you have the Trig TY91 radio and the TC90 control head, you will need to have a Trig dealer update the software in the radio itself to Version 1.10 and the control head needs to be updated to Version 1.6.

I updated my test system and it does restore 8.33 Khz tuning functionality as well as allows SkyView to send frequencies to the radio (that didn't work on mine before the update)

Thanks for the update Don. I’ll get in touch with Trig to get the software update. Thanks for the great support!
