Compas values fluctuate on EFIS 100 screen

I have installed an EFIS 100 with the remote compass in my Jabiru 170 but have problems with numbers in the EFIS 100 fluctuate.
The remote compass is installed under the left seat with no electric cables close to it.
Anybody that have experience the same problem?

This was an issue a few firmware versions back - so first, make sure you're running the latest firmware (SETUP>VRSION), which as of right now is version 5.3.

I updated the firmware to V5,3 before I installed it in the plane.

And it was updated with the EDC connected? If so, it's either environmental (something electrical near-by, though you indicate that there isn't anything near it) or perhaps the EDC itself.

By the way, under the seat generally isn't a great EDC location, as magnetic heading performance can be affected by things like keys and the phone in your pocket.

I believe that's where Jabiru have been installing some of them.
