Compass calibration

Having trouble calibrating Skyview compass in Flight Design CTLS. When in the calibration section (ground), says it needs a GPS signal but do not know why it does not have one. Updated seven inch displays in other aircraft OK. The CTLS also has a Garmin 695 in the panel.

Check the GPS "Source." It should be Skyview, before you start the inflight calibration routine (turns).

New to the forum and to SkyvVew. I've tried to calibrate my compass on the ground, and am having the exact same problem as Rob_W... I get a message saying that it needs a GPS signal to complete the process. What am I doing (or not) that makes it think there is no GPS?
