Compass out of whack

Anyone know why a PFD compass becomes off by 20degrees? I did an inflight calibration and it was in green range. But still it was off when flying. My IFD and whiskey compass were in sync but Dynons were off big time. I guess I’ll try a ground calibration next but man this is scary if it happens in IFR.

I'm having a similar problem. Hope there is an explanation and setups to resolve the problem soon!

Sounds like you have an installation problem or have t done the calibration properly.
And….its much more useful to know the numbers & not just the colors when troubleshooting anything - just saying😉
Also I aim to get the calibration ‘counter‘ up to around 125, not the bare minimum of 100 - works on the many installations I’ve done. ( providing the ADAHRS/ magnetometer is installed correctly.🙂
Ps - we haven’t heard if mrbizi has resolved the issue - if he has then posting the outcome could help others here.

Mine was installed by a Dynon certified installer a year ago and worked fine until I noticed it off while on a long 30 day cross country trip in July. I plan to recalibrate again and see what happens.
