Yes.

I would just make sure the port is switched with the master so you don't accidentally discharge your battery when you shut down.
 
Yes, the port will be on the same CB that the other USB charging ports are on. The other ports are for charging tablets & other devices so they are larger more capable chargers, positioned on the side walls where space is not as much of an issue. And all the CBs on the CB bus are switched with the battery master.
