How do I connect the 430 to the D10A to get the HSI display? Which wire from which connector goes to pin 22 on the D10A?

Also, I assume I can put a switch in the circuit to select either 430 or PC input to pin 22.

Thanks for the help

From the GNS430 Installation Manual, the GPS RS232 transmit pin is on the J4001 connector (60 pins) and is on pin 56.

Turns out that my TruTrak auto pilot also uses pin 56. Can I splice in another wire to go to the D10A?

Yes, you should have no problem connecting both the D10A and the Trutrak to that serial transmit pin.

I say "should," because we can't speak with 100% certainty about the circuit that Trutrak is using for their serial in. There's a very slight chance it may load the line in a way we don't expect. However, you definitely won't hurt anything by plugging both units into that line. I recommend wiring it up and verifying that you get the data you expect on both units.
