Hi: I am in the process of getting a Garmin 250XL to talk to My Skyview. I used Pin #19-RS232 out from my Garmin to Serial #4 RX pin #9 of the Skyview. I selected Generic Aviation, GPS1, Baud 9600, and none to RX out. I set Serial #5 to none and none. With the system on and the GPS set, Skyview still says GPS fail. What have I done wrong?

Ray: Maybe I can help, no guarantee. I have a 300XL, same as 250XL but with a bit more memory. Pin 19 is not the pin I used, it is the other RS 232 out, Pin 20 something. I split it to drive both the D-180/100 and the TT autopilot. I used Pin 19 to drive my APRS. I hope this info is useful. Dan
Hi again: Update to my last post. Changed Dynon setting from Generic Aviation to Generic nemea. Went into the Garmin I/O #2 function and left input off and changed output to plotting. Lo and behold, the unit now works perfectly. All the bells and whistles. Thanks again for the help.
