G'day Folks, --( yes we really do say that in OZ!!) Our group has just completed an RV7a, first flight last week. We have installed a D120 & D100, they are connected via the DSAB. Everything is going well with the exception that our Garmin 495 is not communicating with the Dynons. The blue data out wire from the GPS is connected to pin 19 on the EMS, -the auxiliary serial receive pin, & the GPS interface is set to NMEA out. We have had the briefest of flashes of a Magenta message saying something like "awaiting data" or a similar message in the top right hand corner of each Dynon unit, but these messages disappeared & have not been seen again..  -- any suggestions will be gratefully received!    Cheers, thanks,   Dino......

Do you have the airplane outside where it can "see" the satellites? The Garmin won't send the data unless it's in communication with satellites.

G'day again folks -- success today, the  GPS 495 now succesfully sends data to the Dynon units; we will now be able to see winds aloft & all the other heading & track data in pretty Magenta!  The problem? Well when I used to work in the Television industry & something went wrong, we called it "finger trouble" -- some one had pressed the wrong button (again) - or someone had omitted to press the right button.. .  Yes, I had omitted to tighten the female plug on the back of the D120 after rerouting some wires last week. It always pays to double check your own work!  Cheers & thanks to all you helpful folk ,   Dino.....
