Conserving power on back up batteries

Just a quick hypothetical question.

Let's assume that we have an aircraft with two Skyview displays. The aircraft suffers an electrical failure at somewhat more than the duration of the back-up batteries, away from an available landing place.

If the pilot turns off one display until the battery of the other is exhausted, can he then reboot the second display and get basically "twice the bang for his buck" in terms of battery duration, or will the second battery be unable to reboot the second display once it is switched off

You can turn any SkyView off or on at any time with button #1. Reach into your cockpit after 2 months of not touching the plane, press button #1 and it will boot (if it has a backup battery).

Which is a long way of saying that yes, you could do what you suggested.

In this situation, does the SkyView running on the backup battery provide any indication when it's about to shutdown due to an exhausted backup battery (preferably with enough notice to give the second display a chance to boot and takeover the ADAHRS, EMS, etc.)?

Yes, the system gives you a few minute warning as the battery nears the end.
