Here is a request that should be easy to do. How about a a simple thumb drive program that would allow us to display a photo of our plane on the start up of the SV?

I would love to customize the start screen...I don't mind the text start-up messages so much (as long as they're "clean" and don't display garbage-y lines and colors like I've seen on some competitor's products), but it would be really neat to be able to put your own picture up in place of the "Dynon" image (or after it, if they want to keep the advertisement on there ).

Replacing the Dynon image is a huge technical task- that lives in a very different part of the system, long before any software is running that understands how to read an image file off the internal solid state drive. It's possible, but it would need to be a huge customer demand to justify the work.

After the Dynon image is a possibility- however, version 11 significantly speeds up the boot time, so the image wouldn't be up for very long.

Glad that SkyView is so functional in-flight that we're to the point of wanting it to show pretty pictures of airplanes at boot!

(And Don, give us more than 23 hours on a weekend to respond!)

You're turning it up to 11 already? Seriously, a quick boot up will be greatly appreciated. More like the D10A would be nice.

A couple second boot like a D10A is impossible in a more complex system like SkyView, but we did take a lot of time out.

Dynon spoiled me early in the game. My Skyview brought up an "RV 12" screen when booting. I hated that since my aircraft is an "Air Force One", not an RV12.
Dynon complied with my wishes and gave me a program that killed the offending RV12 image. It just seemed like maybe a reverse of that would be simple, and desired by many people. It would not have to be on long, we already know what our plane looks like, but would be a neat custom touch I think.

The images such as the RV-12 or other OEM images are pre-complied here with a lot of work to make them fit in the resolution and color palette available during the boot process, which is very restricted. An OEM can't put their own image on, we have to work with them to get it done right and put into a software release. We can give you a file to go RV-12 to standard Dynon, or even to another OEM, but not to any arbitrary image.

Again, possible, but a lot of work. If it's the number one thing people want from SkyView, we'll do it!

An accelerated boot time would be a welcome addition, maybe negating the desire for a custom photo. I am not yet flying, so everyone who wants the nickel tour always gets to see the Skyview boot up - some get bored waiting

I would like to see the user log file delete on the same page as the file download. Traversing the menu tree to download and then delete the file requires more knob and button than necessary. Also some visual feedback upon deletion would be nice. I delete the log file after every flight so that when I upload to savvy analysis I don't end up with a huge file containing flight data already uploaded.
