Hi
I finally got around to installing the OAT probe for my D-10 (not D-10A) in the tail of my RV-8. If anyone has been headfirst down the back of an RV-8, they'll know why it took me so long to get around to it
The problem is that upon power up, I am getting bizarre readings. Last night, the temperature in the hangar was 4C, and with a airport altitude of 380 'ish feet, this should result in a density altitude of around -640 feet. The D-10 was showing 65C and 1200 feet. So I adjusted the OAT through the menus down to 4C, and now it is showing a density altitude of (I think) 3200 feet (it was either that or 2300. Alzheimers...)
Any ideas ?
Mark
