D-180 magnetometer mounting in RV

I am installing a D180 in an RV6A. I am considering intalling the magnetometer in the rear of the aircraft on the deck just before the front stabilizer spar. I have the ELT between the front and rear stabilizer spar. I also have electric elevator trim in the left elevator. Does anyone have experience with magnetometer installations in the rear of an RV6/RV7?  In the installation, have you seen any interference?
I have two magnetometers for this position. Can They be mounted side by side?

Two magnetometers can be mounted side by side with no problems.

We wouldn't suggest it being too close to a trim servo, due to the magnets in the motor.

Many RV installs put them right behind the baggage compartment firewall. This tends to be a pretty clean place.

Thank you. I guess we come to the question of what is "too close". I estimate that the distance from the trim motor to the position I was thinking about for the magnetometer is about 18" and there are eight 1/4 inch steel aircraft bolts that will be about 3-4 inches away. In the area behind the baggage compartment firewall at floor level is the autopilot motor for pitch and rearward near the next bulkhead is the strobe power (say 2 feet away). I tend to put them int he fuselage because there are strobes on the wing tips and head lights which are flashing.

The bolts shouldn't be a problem, but it's hard to say about the trim motor.

One experiment you can try is to run the trim motor and observe the effects it has on a regular boy scout compass. That should give you an idea on how far away the magnetic fields reach.
