I am considering upgrading my D10 to a D10A, but I am not sure my Becker ATC 4401 will accept the serial output from the D10A. The D10 conects fine with the old-style BOW (bundle of wires) encoder output.

The Becker wiring diagram shows (4) RS422 interface connections -- RX-A, RX-B, TX-A, TX-B. The D10A shows Serial 2 Tx, and Serial 2 Gnd for the blind encoder serial output. Can these be connected together? How?

I would rather not use a greycode adapter if I don't have to -- yet another electrical box behind the panel, and more BOW.

Any help would be appreciated, especially from anyone flying this combination.

If the transponder needs RS422 input, and can not accomodate RS232, then it wouldn't work with our EFIS products' serial output. We output RS232.

Thanks for the information. I am trying to find information about the converter that would allow the D10 A to work with my transponder. Where can I find out about it?
