My D100s indicate I am 5-10 degrees below the horizon line when in a banked turn, even though I am not descending.   (Straight and level flight the horizon line is zeroed)  Is this typical, or is there a way to correct this error?

That is definitely not typical. Does your airspeed indication look OK when you're turning?

Indicated airspeed does not change. The same thing happens when the Digiflight autopilot makes the turn, so I know it's not pilot error.

One other question - what is your SETUP>PITCH number currently set at?

It sounds like we might need to have your unit back for a look. Give us a call at 425-402-0433 to arrange for a return authorization.

It is installed in an RV-7 (taildragger) so the pitch is set at -7.6. Is this a problem?

That sounds reasonable IF that pitch adjust ONLY corrects for panel tilt. At rest on the ground, your EFIS attitude should normally read pitch up (because you are pitched up). Is that the case?

I'm basically out of ideas at this point. It might be time to take a look at the unit. One final thing you can experiment with would be the pitch adjust. I suspect you'll find that you may be able to get it to show the right thing in turns at the expense of incorrect pitch in straight and level flight.
