D100, Garmin 696, and Zaon XRX?

Is it possible to connect a D100, Garmin 696, and a Zaon XRS to allow traffic display on the 696 while keeping the 696 inputs to the D100?

Is an HS34 needed?

Sure is and a HS34 is not required....

Configure the 696 for TIS in/NMEA out

Connect the Zaon output to the 696's input and connect the 696's output to the D100's input....
