Opened the Dynon Support Program and went to Configure Checklists section without connecting my D10a.  Menu5 was shown and 5 list names with associated lists could be input, so I put in 5 lists and saved them to disk.  Next time I went to the aircraft I selected lists on the EFIS, and two layers of lists showed up: Chklst, radio, POH,Emer, and Misc, with 5 separate lists under each of these allowing effectively 25 lists to be input.  I like it, but what am I missing and how do I change them with the support program.  Can all 25 be input when I hook the support program into the D10a with the usb to serial connection and download lists from the D10a Unit?  Is there any problem using the 5.6 support program with my 5.4 software?

First... to use the Checklists feature in v5.6, you'll have to update your system to v5.6.

Second, to alter the existing Checklists in your EFIS-D10A, download the current set of checklists, then edit those. After editing, you have to UPLOAD the changed checklists to your EFIS-D10A.

OK, not exactly what I was looking for.  In fact the problem was that I was selecting D10 in the support program instead of D10A/autopilot.  The autopilot part was confusing me.  My bad. Apparently the original D10 had only the one level of five lists.  The program did its job, when I hooked it into my EFIS it told me I was asking for a D10 and it only saw a D10A.  When I corrected it I was able to download the 25 lists.  Thanks
