Hi fellow aviators,

Has anyone used the D120 EMS on the Subaru fuel injected EJ-25 engine?
What probes have you used?
Do you need EGT's on each exhaust outlet?
Where have you placed CHT sensors?
Can one use pulses from fuel injection system to calibrate fuel flow readout?

What is an alternative ems for this engine, that is not too costly?
I have looked at the MGL Ultra Horizon, excellent system, but just too large to fit in the existing panel. :'( :'( :'(

Albin,
We can use any thermocouple for EGT or CHT, so whatever fits works fine. Most people don't use CHT on water cooled auto engines though, they use coolant temperature and pressure. You could run CHT's, coolant temp ,and coolant pressure all at the same time if you wanted. You will need to figure out how to mount all the sensors as we don't make a Subaru package.

We can't use the fuel injector pulses for flow. You'll need to use an in-line flow sensor.
