I recently discovered that there is a specific Rotax engine mode in the global settings on the D120. There are some nice features having in this mode, but the tach time disappears from the display and I can't for the life of me figure out how to get it back. Hobbs time continues to be shown. Has anyone come across this? Putting the mode back to "Other" brings back the tach time.

Back in the day when implementing the original Rotax mode on the D120, we were advised by Rotax experts that tach time did not have meaning in the Rotax world, and that all maintenance values are based on hobbs/runtime. On that advice, the D10/D100 series does not show tach time when set to Rotax. FWIW, SkyView has more flexible engine instrument arrangements, and you can display either or both of those values.

Got it! Thanks for the info. I'll stop poking around in the settings. One of these years I'd love to upgrade to a Skyview system. ;-)
