D180 Brightness

Dynon used to have a brightness update for the D180
No longer available
Has anyone figured out how to modify the D180 for a brighter screen. I believe the high brightness LCD panel had the same part number as the regular LCD screen.
I own two D180’s and would like to modify them myself. I have tech experience.
I’d like to know what Dynon did to increase the brightness. Was it a component change, CFL tube change?
Another option I’m considering I am considering is doing a LED mod to replace the CFL tubes to get the brightness I want.
Any comments?

I replaced the screens of both the standard and the bright version. I can confirm that the part number of the lcd were exactly the same.

I contacted Dynon and they were unable to give me any info on how they did the brightness mod to the LCD panel
I may order a new lcd panel on eBay and install an led strip instead of the CFL tube.
