Hello,

I would like to know if anyone hat a similar double failure like I had 2 days ago on my FK14:
The plane was staying outside with a canopy cover and it was raining during 1 night.
I found some rain water under the seats and rudder pedals, took it out with towels and just after engine start I got this double failure on my D180+D100: "EDC not detected" + "OAT not found"
I tried several resets and DSAB configuration searches but these 2 are lost.
All the rest like AP, 2 servos and so is working correct.

Did anyone have a similar problem?

I ordered a new Remote compass and a new OAT sensor

Best regards,

I would have to think you have some water in one of the connectors as a possible cause.
Since you have an EDC and OAT fault, I'd look at the EDC connector wherever you have that installed.
Take the backshell off the connector and dry it out.
There is also the possibility of the EDC having got wet and failed I guess. Remove it and dry in the sun for some hours and give it another shot.

The OAT is often connected through the EDC, and the EDC processes its output. So if your EDC is offline, the OAT will be. The OAT may not actually be broken.

Hello,
Thanks for your reply.
I think this picture self-explains🙈.
I just ordered a new EDC and will put it in a better place than the previous owner did.
