D180 Firmware Update Information Please

Hi - I’m new to this forum and Dynon too so hoping you can help me.....I’ve bought an aircraft with. Dynon D180 EFIS/EMS which works fine but au want to check that it has the latest firmware. I see on the Dynon support site that the latest version is 5.6.1 and dates back to 2016. I have managed to connect a PC to the serial link and have made a backup of the firmware to PC. Question - when I use the software to ‘Detect Firmware Version’ it seems to tell me that it has version 1.2.0.0 which seems a mile away from 5.6.1. Am I looking at the wrong thing? If I select Upload Latest Version, is there a chance that I’ll be trying to load an incompatible version? I’m concerned that I don’t screw up a perfectly operational system. Any thoughts or advice please?

That's definitely ancient. Just to double check, what does the unit itself report in the SETUP > VRSION menu?

Just for completeness, I’ve just heard from the really helpful Dynon technical guys who advise, due to the issues of new PCs/Windows 10 that it’s not probably worth risking a firmware update - if it ain’t broke then don’t fix it!
