I was attempting to set up info displays on my D180 today.  Although I could set up voltage, oat, engine data easily on the right, when I switched to the left menu item, nothing happened with any of the button menus on the left.

Am I doing something wrong, or have I missed something?

Dear Dynon Tech Support,

Can you provide any information as to why I can put info items up on the right side, but nothing on the left? What is the issue here?

I'm not sure I'm following your question. Can you describe in greater detail what you're trying to do?

Under the EFIS/INFO menu, you can select LEFT or RIGHT.  When I select RIGHT, I am able to display any of the five (I believe) options (voltage, oat, engine, etc.).  However; when I select LEFT I am unable to select anything to display on the left side.  Nothing displays when I push EFIS/INFO/LEFT/OAT for example.

I hope you can provide some insight.

Aha! You have the CDI+GS option enabled on the PFD to allow the display of glideslope, the glideslope's space requirements inhibit using the left info item. Unfortunately, that's the case even when the glideslope isn't actually being displayed. You can use either the CDI or NONE/OFF option (I forget the exact language off the top of my head), which will mean you won't see GS on the PFD (it will still show on the HSI page when you have it up), but you'll be able to use the left info item.

Thanks, at least now I Know... GS is more important, so I'll live with this as is.

Is this in the documentation anywhere?
