Hello, I have a RV12 with the D180 avionics package. My transponder (GTX 327) does not show the pressure altitude.  I've checked the D180 configuration and it shows Format 4. I believe this is correct. Assuming the wiring harness is correct, any suggestions to get Pressure Altitude to show on GTX 327?

If the harness is correct, that's all you need to do on the D180 side. The 327 also has a setting in its setup menu system. Its input should be set to receive what it calls "icarus" format.

Has it ever worked? If no, then it's likely a wiring issue.

This signal originates from the FlightDEK-D180's 25-pin Male connector, Pin 13, with the corresponding Ground coming from Pin 21.

(Transponder Pressure Altitude output) Format 4 is the correct setting for a GTX-327.

No, it has never worked.  I went into the config of the GTX327 and found RS232 Channels 1 & 2 set to off. I believe it says output and that was set to ICARUS. I'll check again tomorrow.

Whichever channel, usually 1, the wire from the Dynon is connected to the GTX 327 should be set to INPUT Icarus Alt - Then if the wiring is correct & you have format 4 set on Dynon then it will work ;)

Jake J..... Thank you for your suggestion.  I reconfigured channel 1 to show Input Icarus ALT and my transponder now shows a pressure altitude!  I left all other fields unchanged.
Thanks again.  :)
