;DI see from the announcement that you are now offeringdata logging.
"Data Logging – the EMS can now log data internally for later retrieval and analysis".

Will this be standard with all newly shipped units or will there be an additional upgrade cost.  Will  this ability be a retrofit to existing units?

Thanks for the great exciting new capabilities!!

This is a free firmware update for all EMS units, and it will be standard as well in everything we ship after the date of the firmware release as well. You don't need to send your unit back to get it- we put memory in the units from day one for this feature.

We'll have more specific details on this in the near future. But, basically, you'll use the Dynon Support Program (the one you use for uploading new firmware to our products) to retrieve stored data.

Re: DATA LOGGING /UPGRADE FEATURES/OAT

To all the staff at DYNON,
The news release on new features contained in the June firmware update looks great. and we are all eagerly awaiting the update-especially the internal datalogging capability.

Will the update provide additional tempt monitoring inputs( J & K type T/Cs) for the D180?
Well Done the TEAM at Dynon!!!

OAT Help
I have a two wire OAT probe connected thru GP input on my D180.
Prior to engine start the OAT reads correctly, however after engine start the OAT gradually starts to overread by up to +12C, where it stays until after engine shutdown, whereupon it gradually returns to normal. The probe is mounted underneath wing and away from exhaust. Have tried several groundng paths- No changes!
Any suggestions

The hardware on the D180 has some very specific conditioning on the thermocouple inputs. As a result, there's no way in firmware that we can make it accept more, without additional hardware.

Regarding your OAT, it sure sounds like you're on the right first steps with the grounding paths. One way to check the ground is--with the engine on--measure the voltage difference between the ground wire at the OAT and right at the EMS. If there's a difference between those two voltages, that's an issue.

Also, ensure that the physical OAT is not in a location where engine heat affects it.
